At Rock City, we have partnered with both building contractors and the company directly through the years on various types of projects.

Most recently, J McDowell Co. was hired and constructed the engineered grass overflow parking areas throughout the world famous attraction. Once the underground storm drainage systems were in place, the unsuitable soils were removed, and engineered fills were placed and compacted on finish grade elevations. The site was top dressed with eco-friendly types of materials for both aesthetic charm and to enhance stormwater qualities to finish out the project.

 J McDowell Co. installed locally grown bermuda sod, TYPAR GrassProtecta (grass reinforcement mesh), and TYPAR BodPave (porous paving grids) to complete the process.
